1st Annual Roder Christmas Party

Back in December we hosted a Christmas COSTUME party. To get in the door everyone had to come dressed as a Christmas character. It was hilarious to see everyone's costumes and its def a tradition that we'll have to continue. Everyone that attended this year says they're already thinking on their costumes for next year.
Haley (the Virgin Mary) and Kellie (a pot of poinsettias).
Baby Jesus was kicking!

Posing with our tree

Mary and Poinsettia hanging out on our Ike swing... have I explained the swing? When we were helping Richard pick up his yard after Ike we looted this swing from his yard. (JK we asked Richard and he said he didn't want it.) So Blake took it apart, sanded it down and painted it and I sewed a cushion for the seat.
Here I am as a present, Christy was a tree skirt, and Lauren Jacobson was a angel tree topper.
Tree toppper complete with a tree coming out of her skirt!
All the girls - Lauren Greek on the far left was a nutcracker. That's a Christmas card right there!

Blake was a present also, and Jeremy in the background, was an elf.
It was only a matter of time until a dance party erupted on the back porch!
And then keg stands of course.

Kellie put on the abominable snowman's wig.

I'm such a good lip syncher.

Carla's costume was so lame - she was an ornament. That's alright we let her in the door because she had food.

Jason was dirty Santa

I told Blake the only way he could be a present was if he wore tights!

Mary had to take a rest - she was due on the 25th and she looked like she was about to pop!
I've got more pictures but I can't figure out how to post them - so they're coming soon!
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Gobble gobble!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Here's a pic from the bash that we had at our house. My parents, Blake's parents, my Granddaddy, Blake's Pops, my brother Jason and his gf (Martha Stewart) Christy, Blake's brother and sister Chris and Gia and their families, my uncle Richard and Blake's aunt Cheryl and Blake's work buddy Johan and his family - WERE ALL OUT IN FULL FORCE! *
What did we eat? What didn't we eat would be a better question. You name it and we ate it. Crab stuffed mushrooms, every pie under the sun, two turkeys, two gravies, ham, 5 casseroles, homemade hogs head cheese and monkey bread (yuuuum) two kinds of dressing... the list goes on and on. Needless to say we were all miserable after but worked all our food off watching the kids play kickball. :)

I'll post more soon. Thank you to everyone who came and made our first Thanksgiving in our home so wonderful. We love all of you and are so THANKFUL that you are in our life.

PS - Blake and I put up all our Christmas decorations Sunday so I'll have to post those soon!

PPS - Sorry I haven't put up any pics lately. The Red Raiders have been a little disappointing lately so I don't have anything to brag about. :(

* Whoops I forgot to include Pumpkin Robicheux - the little chihuahua that Aerica is holding. :)
