Bachelorette Party

OK so Sally has asked me to put up pictures from our night out - so here's all the G rated ones! :)

We all had matching shirts - mine was white and said 'Bride' in pink and then all the girls had brown shirts that said 'Maid of Honor' 'Bridesmaid' or 'Sarah's Entourage'. We were so cute!

First drink of the night (after the 4 bottles of champagne).

Toast to a fun night!
Good thing these weren't Chimy's Margaritas!

Our wonderful waiter, Tony.

One of our fans
Dancing on the stage at Howl at the Moon

Katie's got some MOVES!
(So does Sara.)
Katie right after she got the boxers

She probably just whacked 10 people in the face with those

I wonder what dance move this is
I'll be wearing that beanie later
Sara with the owner of the beenie

Some guy who 'serenaded' us
He got real serious and took his jacket off

There's that beanie!
Katie (accidentally) ripped her skirt! Oops!

What a fun night - I couldn't ask for a better group of friends or a better BACHELORETTE PARTY! Let's do it again!

Our Couples Shower

This past Friday, all of my fabulous bridesmaids hosted a couples shower at my parents house down in League City. Sara, Katie, Kellie, Mallory and Lauren along with some help from my parents, my brothers and their significant others, and Blake's parents could not have done a better job. It was a WONDERFUL night that reminded Blake and I that not only are we blessed to have found each other but we are OVERLY blessed to have such wonderful friends and family. By the time the night was over we ate 250 pounds of crawfish and polished off 2 kegs of beer - Thank you to everyone for braving the traffic on I-45 and helping us celebrate. Aside from music and lighting - Jason was in charge of picking up all the crawfish and beer. Good thing he had Jack along to supervise. (Notice the John Deere dog collar.)
Easily one of the two cutest dogs in the world - Millie being the other cutie.
All the crawfish, ice, and firewood! It was pretty chilly Friday night (down in the 30's) but that didn't stop the party!
Shortcake and punkin'
All the men watching Matthew - the executive chef for the night. Thank you, Matthew!
Matthew's idea on how to light a chimanea (That would be the gas torch from the crawfish pots.)
And then we had crackage.

There's the sous chef of the night - Charlie. Now we see where Blake gets the boots-tucked-into-jeans look.
Other cutest dog in the world - Millie. She's got her doggie sweater on!
All tucked in and ready to party!
Group pow wow on how to float two kegs and eat 250lbs of crawfish.
The cake the Tacl's supplied - thank you! "Eat, drink and get married!" was the slogan on the invites, the cake and all the koozies. :-)

Kramer's first crawfish experience. This should go in the baby book.
We cooked a batch at 5 to check for seasonings.
Mom's choir buddy, Suzanne, and her daughter Sarah. Sarah's getting married this summer so Suzanne and my mom refer to themselves as 'MOBsters' (Mother of the brides.)
Mallory's dad, Curlee, on the left. I think he ate his body weight in crawfish. :-) Sally and Ted Holy on the right - long-time friends of my parents.
Ok take note, here is Blake's grandpa, Pops, and his friend, Lou. It's probably 6 PM at this time and they have begun to eat. They will be in this position for a WHILE. What a compliment to the chef that they sat in this position eating batch after batch. :-) Aunt Dianne is seated next to Lou - thank you for driving in to celebrate with us!

Aww look his cup says 'Groom'!
The Future Mr and Mrs Blake Roder. CAN'T WAIT!
'SHUT UP AND SUCK IT' (And his hat said 'Bite me'.)

Friends since the 4th grade! My mom and I with Mallory.
Mallory's parents

Christy peeling her own crawfish - IMPRESSIVE!

Pops and Lou - still eating. At the end of the table: Eric and Jennifer Crainer, hunting/fishing friends of the Roders, and their neice Danielle.
Sarah with her fiance, Bob. Bob's father is a professional musician and he's playing his guitar for our ceremony.
Blake looks like his going in for a smooch!

Our aprons said, 'Peace, love and crawfish.'
Lauren with her Mom, Dawn and then Marie Harrison. 'Dawn WHO!?'
Alicia and Jeff possibly talking about where a Fit would fit.

STILL EATING
Richard and Lisa

Mr Tacl, Mr Jacobson (THE CHEATER), and Kellie.
Katie 'Dirt' Tacl.

Suzanne on the left and then Celeste on the right - St Mary's choir buddies.
Katie with her Mom, Diane Tacl.
Watch out Rockettes - you've got some competition!
Mallory and the maid of honor - sh... I mean Sara Kramer.
Look at Carla going at the corn!

About to play the gum game. We had to answer questions about eachother and for every wrong answer we had to put a peice of bubble gum in our mouth - Blake only answered 2 out of 14 correct so you can see where this is going. I didn't do much better, but that's because the questions were too HARD! I hear they made them hard because of how well I did at the all girls shower. ;-)
Chipmunks

Opening gifts - little did we know that as we were opening gifts all the girls were writing down our expressions that we said relating to the gifts. Later on Mallory read what I said and Sara read what Blake had said - but they changed it to 'this is what Blake and Sara will be saying on their wedding night.' Pretty funny because we said things like 'I've been asking my mom for this!' 'Finally!' 'That's what you use it for right?' 'It's so thick!' 'Don't break it just work around it!'

As Sally always says - our favorite aunt Sally!
And her hubby uncle Chris - they just celebrated their 20th Wedding Anniversary (I was a flower girl in their wedding.)

New BFF's - I hear that at the end of the night Matthew had Charlie laughing so hard he was crying and Charlie turned to Matthew and said 'Matthew, you and I are going to be friends for a long time.'

Can you tell we passed a GOOD time?
