This past Friday, all of my fabulous bridesmaids hosted a couples shower at my parents house down in League City. Sara, Katie, Kellie, Mallory and Lauren along with some help from my parents, my brothers and their significant others, and Blake's parents could not have done a better job. It was a WONDERFUL night that reminded Blake and I that not only are we blessed to have found each other but we are OVERLY blessed to have such wonderful friends and family. By the time the night was over we ate 250 pounds of
crawfish and polished off 2 kegs of beer - Thank you to everyone for braving the traffic on I-45 and helping us celebrate.
Aside from music and lighting - Jason was in charge of picking up all the
crawfish and beer. Good thing he had Jack along to supervise. (Notice the John Deere dog collar.)
Easily one of the two cutest dogs in the world - Millie being the other cutie.
All the
crawfish, ice, and firewood! It was pretty chilly Friday night (down in the 30's) but that didn't stop the party!
Shortcake and

All the men watching Matthew - the executive chef for the night. Thank you, Matthew!
Matthew's idea on how to light a
chimanea (That would be the gas torch from the
crawfish pots.)
And then we had
crackage.
There's the sous chef of the night - Charlie. Now we see where Blake gets the boots-tucked-into-jeans look.
Other cutest dog in the world - Millie. She's got her
doggie sweater on!
All tucked in and ready to party!
Group pow wow on how to float two kegs and eat 250lbs of

Mom's choir buddy, Suzanne, and her

Mallory's dad,
Curlee, on the left. I think he ate his body weight in
crawfish. :-) Sally and Ted Holy on the right - long-time friends of my parents.
Ok take note, here is Blake's grandpa, Pops, and his friend, Lou. It's probably 6 PM at this time and they have begun to eat. They will be in this position for a WHILE. What a compliment to the chef that they sat in this position eating batch after batch. :-) Aunt Dianne is seated next to Lou - thank you for driving in to celebrate with us!
Aww look his cup says 'Groom'!
The Future Mr and Mrs Blake
